Rhodes Park Clean Up

On 15th February 2014, volunteers from Jeppe High School for Girls showed what the true meaning of community is. These ladies, along with some members of the I Love Kensington Association and Lions group, helped clean up Rhodes Park. The girls, led by Miss Monique Wessels, who teaches at the school, met at the Kensington Library Gates at 10 am armed with rubbish bags and gloves and set out to remove all the unattractive elements invading the park. Although they had expected to be busy the whole day, the clean up team finished what they set out to do in two hours. The girls enjoyed giving back to the community and getting to know their co-workers at the same time.
