Our senior and junior soccer teams took part in Reddam’s annual 6 a side festival on Saturday 16 August .
The senior team played 5 โpoolโ games, losing only to Vorentoe. This saw them finish second in the Pool and play a semi-final against Assumption Convent. A convincing 3-1 win saw them again face Vorentoe. Despite an improved effort from the Jeppe team, their opponents proved too good on the day and defeated us 4-2 in the final.
Lindo Sukazi was awarded goalkeeper-of-the-tournament.

Our junior (u15) team were delighted to reach the semi-final, after some disappointing performances in the โpoolโ games. The semi-final saw them kick into gear and record a 3-0 win over Hyde Park B. The final (vs HydePark A) was a hard-fought affair, eventually going to sudden-death penalties. Some solid penalties, along with brave goalkeeping from Lesego Molefe, saw the JHSG u15โs hold out to win the shoot-out and receive the gold medals.
