Our 1st X1 Hockey team gave their best performance of the season against Summit College on Tuesday 13th May. Although played on a grass field providing conditions that at best could be described as ‘difficult’, the team played well, beating Summit 5-0.
There were a number of promising performances within the team but the one that stood out the most was that of Lethiwe Zwane. Lethiwe who plays left wing, made several impressive solo runs down the left flank and scored 3 of the 5 goals. We hope to see Lethiwe building on this performance throughout the season.
Along with Lethiwe, 4 other Jeppe girls have made it through from their District Team to the 1st round of the South Gauteng trials on Friday 16 May. We wish these girls the very best of luck:
