Jeppe Girls once again came out as strong contenders in the design field at The Star’s Design-An-Ad ceremony at Vodaworld last night.
Amy-Leigh Braaf was Runner Up in the front page cover design which was only open to grade 12 pupils. The theme was “Freedom of the Press”. Her ad was printed on the back page of today’s insert in the Star newspaper (29 August 2013)
Kayla Gailey (Grade 10) took first place in the Grade 10 – 12 section for her advertisement for Sharpie. Sharpie were so impressed with Kayla’s ad, that they did not award a second or third place. Her ad was also printed in today’s insert of The Star.
Ms Goncalves who attended the ceremony with Mrs Young (Head of Visual Art and Design) and the girls and their families congratulated the girls and Mrs Young on their wonderful achievement.
This letter was received after the ceremony from Carol Plummer, the brand manager for Silveray Stationery
